The start of my new blog ... and the Stirlings & Porungurups

A new blog, and I am not sure quite why, however I still look back on my Camino posts, and the brief posts from last year, and really enjoy the memories. It's a modern version of a diary, accessible from anywhere albeit very public. Maybe I'll just start this one as a way to record events, travels, thoughts, experiences, and see where it goes.

The Stirlings were last weekend's trip, and the Porungurups. We stayed in the old restored Dakota, with lovely food and that amazing open sky and horses that is the essence of WA for me. We walked a lot, up Mount Trio also a loop walk in the Porungurups, much easier but you could see all the way the Albany and the sea from the (low) summit.

A replica 16th Century Dutch windmill, built by the owner

The plane, beside the windmill. The place is well over 50 years old, and has flown around Indonesia, India, and its final flight ended in a belly landing in Broome.

The sunset over the plane, and a wide open sky

The view from the top of Mount Trio, and we managed to get there and back with no broken ankles or trips, I was very happy

... and the view on the last night when the clouds came over the Stirlings in a smooth curtain, with glowing, mellow light.
